George Georgiou

Hailed for his energetic and inspirational performances, the Cypriot clarinetist George Georgiou enjoys a career as a classical and contemporary clarinetist. He appeared in many solo concerts and recitals in Europe, Middle East and USA. He is a member of Lyrical Noise Ensemble, Evohe Wind Quintet, Chronos Contemporary Music Ensemble as well as musician in residence at the Avaton Contemporary Music Festival (Cyprus). He holds the position of clarinet professor at the University of Nicosia. He is the artistic director of Music at the Museum Concert Series and the general director of CultureTones Organisation, a not for profit cultural organization based in Cyprus. George is a graduate from City University, London, where he studied clarinet with Julian Farrell and Joy Farel at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He is also a MBA graduate from the Neapolis University Paphos, Cyprus and a member of Mensa Cyprus.
His busy profile gained him an international recognition and he became a Fratelli Patricola Clarinet Artist, a Silverstein Ligature Artist and a Marca Reeds Artist. He records for Hook Records. 

Tiago Menino

Tiago Menino nació en 1987 y comenzó sus estudios musicales a la edad de 10 años, con su padre, António Menino, en la banda de la “Sociedade Imparcial 15 de Janeiro de 1898”, en su ciudad natal de Alcochete (Portugal). A la edad de 15 años ingresa al “Conservatorio Nacional de Lisboa”, en la clase del profesor Luís Gomes.
Menino ha tocado como primer clarinete y solista con la "Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil" (Lisboa) y la Orquesta de Viento del "Conservatório Nacional" (Lisboa). Trabaja como freelancer con algunas orquestas portuguesas como: "Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa", "Orquestra de Câmara Portuguesa", "Orquestra Ibérica", "Orquestra de Câmara do Alentejo", "Tetraktis Ensemble", etc.
Tiago tuvo la oportunidad de trabajar con directores como: Jean-Sebastien Bereau, Mitchell Fennel, Jo Conjaerts, Felix Hauswirth, Christopher Bochmann, Pedro Carneiro y Délio Gonçalves. También había frecuentado varias clases magistrales con algunas referencias de clarinete como Karl Leister, Guy Deplus, Walter Boeykens, Antony Pay, Philippe Cuper, Philippe Berrod, Fabrizio Meloni, Justo Sanz, Yehuda Gilad, Romain Guyot, Dominique Vidal, Ronald Van Spaendonck, Pascual Martínez, Jerome Vehaeghe, Radovan Cavallin, Paolo Beltramini, Antonio Salguero, António Saiote, Luís Gomes, Nuno Silva, Joaquim Ribeiro, Rui Martins, etc.
Como solista, Menino actuó con el Ensemble de Clarinetes Selmer, en Europarque, en Santa Maria da Feira (Portugal) y en 2013, dirigido por el maestro norteamericano Mitchell Fennell, interpretó la pieza “Black Dog” de Scott McAllister para clarinete y banda sinfónica, con algunas de las mejores bandas portuguesas. En el año de 2015, estrenó "Em Trânsito", una pieza para clarinete, saxo alto y banda sinfónica, de Helder Bettencourt, dedicada a él y al saxofonista Hélder Alves. Menino también estrenó en Portugal "Concierto para clarinete y orquestras de vientos" del compositor Frank Tichelli y más tarde lo realizó con la “Banda da Força Aérea Portuguesa”.
Menino ha ganado el 1er premio en "1º Concurso Internacional de Clarinete, Gran Canaria Internacional Clarinet Festival" (España), el 3er premio en el concurso "Prémio José Augusto Alegria", en Évora (Portugal) y también ha sido finalista y semi-finalista en varias competiciones internacionales, como “Classic Winds” (Alemania), “Czech Clarinet Art” (República Checa), “Marco Fiorindo” (Italia), “Saverio Mercadante” (Italia), “Gheorghe Dima” (Rumania) , etc.
Tiago recibió su diploma por el "Instituto Piaget de Almada" en la clase de profesores Luís Gomes, Rui Martins y Filipe Dias. En su último año, frecuentó el "Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid" (España) con el renombrado profesor catedrático Justo Sanz, como estudiante Erasmus.
También había frecuentado el Master en performance en la "Academia Nacional Superior de Orquestra" (Lisboa) en la clase del profesor Nuno Silva. Actualmente está finalizando su Master en enseñanza de música en la "Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa" (Lisboa), en clase del profesor Manuel Jerónimo.
Actualmente está enseñando en el "Conservatorio Regional de Artes del Montijo" y és miembro de la "Orquestra de Câmara do Alentejo".
Tiago Menino es un ARTISTA SELMER, y toca con clarinetes Privilege y Recital.


Bartosz Saldan

Bartosz Sałdan having earned a Master of Arts degree with distinction from the Academy of Music in Kraków in 2013, where he studied percussion with Prof. Jan Pilch, he is currently continuing his education with PhD studies at his alma mater. He is the laureate of top prizes in many competitions: national and international—in Poland, Slovenia, Greece and Ukraine, among other countries—as both a soloist and a chamber musician. . Bartosz Sałdan create duo with clarinetist Barbara Borowicz, which perform many new pieces for clarinet and percussion by composers like Manuel Ruiz del Coral or Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska. He is also active orchestral musician, as percussionist and timpanist he works with many orchestras, including the Symphony Orchestra of the Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic in Kraków, Beethoven Academy Orchestra, Sinfonietta Cracovia Orchestra of the Royal Capital City of Krakow, Polish Orchestra of the 18th Century, Sinfonia Iuventus and many others.

Krakow Octet

​The idea – play together in clarinet octet – was born thanks to Dr. Barbara Borowicz - group's clarinet teacher and player herself.  The band originated from willing to music, similar experiences and mainly friendship, which you can hear for the first sounds. Until now the Krakow Clarinet Clarinet Octet performed during ClarinetFest in Ostend and 8th European Clarinet Festival in  Győr. For this group was especially written pieces by composer from Kosovo – Artan Hasani.Clarinetists were trying to choose pieces which are reflecting wide spectrum of emotions, to show our music. All members of this clarinet ensemble are currently learning at Academy of Music in Krakow in Poland and are laureates of national and international competitions in solo and chamber music category. Each of them had encountered many performances – as soloists, in chamber ensembles and orchestras. The repertoire is very wide, since the era of classicism by contemporary music, after the great arrangement of entertainment hits. Thanks to such a wide spectrum ensemble can charm the music of every type of audience. Calamus Ensemble

Càlamus ensemble is formed by sicilian musicians. The conductor is Carmelo Dell’Acqua. It took part in important festivals and musical productions in many Italian and European cities: Ferrara, Siena, Firenze, Lucca, Bologna, Roma, Salerno, Catanzaro, Messina, Trapani, Agrigento, Catania, Siracusa, Auditorium RAI in Palermo, Heldburg and Tambach castels, in Rodachtal (Thuringia/Bavaria) in Germany for the Internationales Jugend Musik Festival, European Clarinet Festival in Camerino (IT), Swik Festival in Oogezand-Sappemeer (NL) and International ClarinetFest in Ostend (BG). The ensemble played many compositions as first absolute execution and in 2005 performed Company by Philip Glass, in the new version for clarinet ensemble by Thomas Lawrence Toscano: the piece has been played for the first time during a meeting with the famous american composer. In 2008 the group took part in the realization of the soundtrack written by Paolo Buonvino for the tv serie “Il commissario Manara”, produced and transmitted by RAI 2. It has collaborated with: Elif Aksoy, John de Beer, Paolo Beltramini, Ron Daelemans, Paolo De Gaspari, Andrea Fallico, Manuel Jodar, Gabriele Mirabassi, Susan Moss, Vincenzo Paci, Milan Rericha, Piero Vincenti and Capriccio Clarinet Orchestra (NL). Performances of the ensemble have been transmitted by: Rai International, Rai 3, Filodiffusione Nazionale, Radio Vaticana, Mittel Deutscher Rundfunk. The repertoire, original and transcriptions, is composed by compositions since medieval age to the contemporary, with also pieces of ethnic and jazz music. The transcriptions, realized by Marco Monitto, have been published by MDS-Edition, Ebensee (Austria) and by SMP Press Emeryville, (California). In 2015 the Càlamus ensemble represented the “Vincenzo Bellini” Music School of Catania at the EXPO in Milan. The ensemble recorded for Suvini-Zerboni, City Record, RaiTrade.

Nace en La Laguna en 1985 y comienza sus estudios en el Conservatorio Profesional de Tenerife y posteriormente accede con 17 años al Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias siendo el alumno más joven. Fue becado para ampliar sus estudios de Postgrado y Master en el Royal Conservatoire of Scotland con Maximiliano Martin y Heather Nicoll finalizándolos con Distinción y Honores, ganando premios importantes como el RSAMD Trust, Governor ́s soloist woodwind Competition y el Mary D. Adams Prize. Ha colabora con prestigiosas orquestas en Europa y Asia como la Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony, Asia-Pacific Union Orchestra, Northern Sinfonia, Britten Pears Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra actuando en las salas de conciertos y Festivales mas importantes de todo el mundo tales como el Musikverien, Royal Albert Hall, Shanghai Concert Hall, Performing art Center of Beijing, los BBC Proms. En la actualidad es clarinete invitado de la Macao Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfónica Verum, Orquesta Clásica Santa Cecilia, Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife, Banda Sinfónica Municipal de Madrid, miembro de la Joven Orquesta de Canarias, del dúo “CañayTecla”, profesor de Clarinete de la Escuela de Música AMC Ernesto Beteta de Santa Úrsula y Director Titular del Patronato Banda de Música de Valle de Guerra.
