COMPETITION REGULATIONS
Article 1 – The Gran Canaria International Clarinet Festival in collaboration with the Orquesta Sinfonica de Las Palmas and Teatro Cruce de Culturas presents the 3rd International Clarinet Competition. The 3rd International Clarinet Competition “Guy Deplus” will take at the Sede of the Orquesta Filarmonica de Gran Canaria in Las Palmas.
Article 2 – This international competition is dedicated in memory of Guy Deplus, the former professor of Radovan Cavallin. This competition aims to promote aspiring musical talent and culture in Spain in a competitive setting. The Competition is available at three levels:
- Senior (no age limit)
- Junior (ages between 12 - 18 years old by April 4, 2023)
- Young (ages up to 11 years old by April 4, 2023)
Article 3 – The applicant is complicit with the regulations of the competition.
Article 4 – The performances of the competition will be in person. The participants are not obliged to perform their program by memory. The program order of the pieces performed can be chosen by the competitor.
Article 5 – The winner of each category will be provided a prize according to their level. An official recording will be made and available on YouTube. The winners of the competition will not be remunerated for this performance.
Article 6 – The jury will be comprised of international musicians.
Article 7 – The jury has the right to not award prizes to inadequate musical performances and of awarding any ex-aequo prizes. The jury’s decision is final and cannot be appealed.
COMPETITION PROGRAM
Young (1 round)
1. Up to one (1) or two (2) pieces of music with piano or for solo clarinet (up to 10m)
Junior (1 round)
1. One (1) piece with piano and one (1) for solo clarinet (up to 15m)
Senior (1 round)
1. Luis Spohr: one movement any of the 4 clarinet concertos.
2. One piece for solo clarinet (up to 15m)

REGULACIONES DEL CONCURSO INTERNACIONAL
Artículo 1 - El Festival Internacional de Clarinete de Gran Canaria tendrá lugar en la Sede de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Artículo 2 - Este es el concurso internacional dedicado a la memoria de Guy Deplus, ex profesor de Radovan Cavallin. Este concurso tiene como objetivo promover el talento musical y la cultura en España. El concurso internacional está disponible en dos niveles:
- Senior (sin límite de edad)
- Junior (edades hasta los 11 años antes del 4 de abril de 2023)
- Joven (edades entre 9 - 11 años antes del 4 de abril de 2023)
Artículo 3 - El participante es cómplice del reglamento del concurso.
Artículo 4 - Las actuaciones del concurso serán presenciales. Los participantes no están obligados a realizar su programa de memoria. El orden del programa de las piezas ejecutadas puede ser elegido por el candidato.
Artículo 5 - El ganador de cada categoría recibirá un premio de acuerdo con su nivel. Se hará una grabación oficial y estará disponible en YouTube. Los ganadores del concurso no serán remunerados por esta actuación.
Artículo 6 - El jurado estará compuesto por músicos internacionales.
Artículo 7 - El jurado tiene derecho a no otorgar premios a las actuaciones musicales inadecuadas y a otorgar premios ex aequo. La decisión del jurado es final y no se puede apelar.

1. Una obra o un movimiento con piano y otra para clarinete solo (hasta 15m)

1. Luis Spohr: un movimiento de qualquiera de los 4 conciertos para clarinete.
2. Una pieza para clarinete solo (hasta 15m)
